Synopsis

Patient privacy is sacred—and so are the clinic’s secrets.

Tourists visit the Cayman Islands to lose themselves in the aqua surf, but Dr. Katie Weston is hiding out. Two months earlier, she fled Chicago after her lover tried to kill her when she alerted the police to his criminal activities. By day, she works as director of a plastic surgery medical resort owned by her best friend from med school. By night, she scours internet crime sites, piecing together evidence to convict her ex-lover and win back her life as a physician.

Then one morning, through her attic window, she glimpses her ex-boyfriend arriving at the clinic. Has he found her? As it turns out, he was dropping off a teenage girl for skin grafts. The new patient is his niece, bitter because he got her injured. She may be Katie’s key to putting her ex behind bars. But as the resentful girl reveals who her family really is, Katie is chilled to realize that her enemy is bigger than one guy with a gun, and that the Hippocratic oath to do no harm may no longer apply.
